She's currently one of the lead actresses on the hit Starz series Power but in a recent interview with VladTV, Naturi Naughton talks her struggle to get back on top in the industry and Hollywood after being blackballed from former girls group 3LW!
" ... I wanted to get back into the record business ..and when I was pushed out of the group I was kind of put in this box where no one could sign me, no one could touch me! The producers and managers that I worked with defintely tried to blackball me!"
Naughton also talks the success of shows like Power and Empire that feature predominantly African- American casts, the challenge of being a black woman in Hollywood and 50 Cents constant jabs at Empire.
